Hi,
I am Charles from Ghana. I attended St. James Seminary and Secondary. I happen to know Eric there, he was a year a head of me. I met Eric again when he was selected to be part of the team making the public universities in ghana. I saw him play on my campus that is University of Ghana and saw some whites talk to him.
It was sad when I was reading news on a local radio station’s website when I saw a story about a ghanaian fooballer jailed for rape. I read the story and found that I know this guy. I later searched for Eric in google and that is where it the story unfolded. I have been following it till now.
I spoke to a couple of my mates and we working to let justice prevail for this young man.
I will keep you informed as to whatever happens. Keep me informed too.

Hi charles! my name is erica oliva and i met Eric here in Santa Barbara. I lived right across from him and loved hanging out with him! he was so funny and ALWAYS happy! I just wanna let you know that i am as shocked as you are about this whole situation! and i am so sad for him especially cause he has no family here! but don’t worry because he was plenty of friends who love him just as much as his family!!and we are all supporting him!!

      I know the feeling.
I had a friend named Eric in a photography class at SD City College. The professor was a grumpy lady, that made the class more difficult than it needed to be. She especially liked to pick on Eric, because she did not appreciate his choice in subject matter. I thought she was so unreasonable, I admired his ability to share a smile and an inspiring word in spite of her. One night I was sitting on the couch watching Dateline and I saw Eric. He was in prison in Nicaragua (for a crime he did not commit)! It was unbelievable! I followed his story from that point on and was overjoyed when he was released from prison last year. Justice will prevail, the truth is always more powerful than the lies.

Hi Erica, It is sometimes had to believe that people do behave like they never entered a classroom meanwhile they did but as much we live and there is God we know one day the truth shall come out. God sees everything that happens around us. Anytime you visit, extend my heartfelt greetings to him. Tell him Aglozo from St. James Seminary says hi. When you say Charles he might be confused so do remember to tell him AGLOZO.

Eric is my cousine and use to visit me in kumasi when he was at KNUST. I thought him in church at Abesim. He is such a talented guy with so much prospects endowd him by GOD. I can bodly say that Kwabena has been denid justice but so long as there is sky, Certainly the stars will appear 4 all to see.

  4. Eric is my cousin and I have known him since childhood. We lived in Abesim together, went to the same church and represented our locality in bible quiz and then went to colledge, KNUST together living on the same floor. Surely, he has been denied justice and I believe that so long as our redeemer lives, justice will prevail.

    Hi,
Ladies and gentlemen, common sense should tell us all that if there is a case and a suspect is named, the police must go for that particular suspect for questioning, why is Benjamin Randall left roaming about while making Eric going through all these pain. God is watching.

    Hi there,
I am a Ghanaian living in Ghana. I do not know Eric personaly but I will like to show my solidarity with him. It has unfortunately how he has been treated at the hand of the ” justice system” but it is not suprising. Africans living in the west easily fall prey to a harsh system were they are regarded as aliens. Usually all they want is to etch out a living but rather have their bubble burst.
    Eric you have my sympathy

Last year, while jogging in my neighborhood here in the States, along a road, a car coming towards me swerved in a deliberate attempt to hit me. When I confronted the driver, a white girl, she threatened to call the police on me. I told her my mind and decided to walk away from her. A mile down the road, I saw a police car flashing its light coming at top speed. After reaching me, the officer cut the road off and stopped to interogate me. A few minutes later, another corps arrived. The first one decided to go after the girl after I told my story. The second officer contained me while the interrogation went on on the other end. They later decided to let me go and that is the world we live in and I feel sorry for Eric. Some of these girls understand and use the stupid behavior of some of these sherrifs in attempt to frame and get you into trouble. I strongly believe there will be justice with time but it is Eric’s future and life I am concerned about. A bright future is almost gone down the drain. You wonder the satisfaction that these people gain by destroying someone’s life.

  8. Am Erics fan and will be his fan till thy kingdom come whether he is accused or not.
I will support you cos i know your dreams.

I WANT TO CONTRIBUTE TO THIS FIGHT (IN CASH: IF ANYONE CAN DIRECT ME… I’M IN SEOUL)…. SAVIOALA,I BELIEVE THIS IS A DOOR TO STARDOM… ITS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME …REMEMBER “THE STORY OF JOSEPH AND POTIFER’S WIFE?”…. GOD IS ALWAYS IN COTNROL!!!..(SAVIOALA,THIS IS SKILLFUL, UR TEAM MATE)

I Mr.Nicholas Arloo have know Mr.Eric Frimpong for six years now back in the days when were in kwame nkrumah university of science and technology,Kumasi-Ghana.he is a good friend of mine and i must say he is an extraordinary guy.he is very quite, patient, respectful and never uses abusing or cursing word.this news came to me as a surprise.why?because i know eric will never do that.why? because unlike other soccer players he is shy of woman not to talk of being a womanizer.eric is a guy of great talent when it comes to soccer and i bet u he would have been in one of Ghanas junior team if he were to be in Ghana by now.being in jail right now is a big blow to himself, parents, family members, his caring and beloved friends especially back home and to all Ghanaian football fans because they are wasting our next abedi pele .his undoubting and enormous skills in the game of soccer earned him the name saviola after the great Argentine barcelona fc star.i will be very glad if this case is revisited and he is vindicated.I wont mind if this letter is published.ERIC FRIMPONG WE SUPPORT YOU IN PRAYERS AND I KNOW OUR GOD WILL NEVERFAIL US .WE LOVE U

I picked up Eric at the airport the day he landed in the States. Customs was crowded, but the moment I saw Eric I knew he was my teammate. On the drive from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara Eric told me how his whole life he wanted to be a footballer. He stayed at my house for the first couple of weeks while he settled in at the University of California Santa Barabara. I shared a locker room and a soccer field with Eric, and I am the better for it. His smile and joy taught lessons to all of his teammates. Lessons of simple joy and freedom. His freedom now gone, we must teach lessons to the American public that our judicial and criminal systems are failing. This is no America to be proud of when we take fresh air away from innocent people.

  22. Aaron Enos said

Some policemen will do anything for fame and recognition. to the extent that they will blame a crime on an innocent person just to get the public to believe that they are doing some real work when in fact they are not.

Its a real sad case. but as long as God lives. we shall all be witnesses.

Eric! justice is on its way.

well i don’t know who he is or what he does but i just saw somebody send out a message stating “free eric frimpong” so i decided to google him and dis is what i found. having read what people wrote about him, well i can’t be the judge of him but it seem like he’s a really good kid with good heart and i totally support him and wish him the best and nothing the best of luck, freedom and justice.
i hope and pray that justice prevail so that he continue to do what he does best. eric, again i don’t know you but brother here’s some few words of encouragement, “keep your head up, don’t ever forget the man upstairs because he’s the only one you can really turn to in times like this. i wish you all the best and may the Good Lord be with you.”

Not to be on anybodys side but in my heart i strongly believe Eric did not commit this act. i have been a victim too but in my case i had a lot of witnesses and a good lawyer to trash the case out. this is purely injustice and they know it.
The system looks at it like “what they hell can you do if you aint got that money to fight the case”…it all money trust me…eg R.kelly. chale Eric man…i was victim did three months had another trial..called all my witness to testify and got a Goodd lawyer…any info

Boy, sometimes in life we are hit with such blows that we question not only society but life and God but I can see that you are an intellengent man as you have kept your faith.

Remember that the Lord, you Redeemer is alive. And in all your hard times PRAISE HIM, you shall be freed because He is Jehovah Nissi!!! And like Paul one day and angel of the Lord will be called to free (In Jesus’ Mighty Name). Be ready my brother!! and while you are in that bad place: try to use the time positively to touch others lives with the Gospel, that way the devil is always a liar!!!!

hello everyone, i just read about this case and i’m comepletely appauled at how there was no real look at the evidence and no real look into the other men that this girl came into contact with. it is amazing how this young man has remained optimistic and brave this period in his life and my support goes to him and his family and friends, completely. i do feel sorry that the girl was raped, but it is obvious that she will have this problem again considering her records with alcohol. Eric truly does not deserve this and in the end god will fully bless him for his faith and kindness

ITS TRUELY HORRIBLE WHAT HAS HAPPEND TO THIS POOR KID. SET HIM FREE!!!! LET THE YOUNG MAN HAVE HIS LIFE BACK. I don’t know Eric personally, but I’ve seen him play soccer for UCSB and his story breaks my heart. It’s really sad to know that this type of injustice still happens here in America, especially in Southern California, arguably one of the most tolerant places in the entire USA. I really want to help, but I’m not sure how. Has his legal defense team filed any recent appeals? Has anyone brought this up to Obama? I’m sure he’d be interested. I also want to know why this hasn’t been talked about in the national media — CNN, Oprah, World News Tonight w/ Charlie Gibson — all are really great resources to spread the word about this horrible injustice. It’s nice to be sympathetic with Eric and his family and friends, but if we really want anything to be done/fixed, we need to take mass action. Southern California’s Persian population are marching and protesting in solidarity with their brothers and sisters dying for democracy in Iran, so why can’t we do the same and stand up for Eric?

I am a Ghanaian resident in Ghana and I personally knew Eric rimpong aka Saviola. we were all at Kwame Nkrumah University of science and Technology He was well cultured, disciplined and always a delight to be with. I believe he is innocent and only a victim of circumstances. it is my prayer that this situation does not affect his future aspirations. let us leave it to the Good God who is Omnipotent. Eric remember this always; that great people had to go through situations like in order to be where they are now. I BELIEVE IN YOU SAVIOLA.

Eric: The Lord is still faithful. I haven’t seen this depth of affliction and I am compelled to bow my head in shame that I complain about affliction. Take encouragement from Job: “Though HE slay me, yet will I trust.” I know the Lord will deliver you in due course. We’re praying with you. Continue your sterling and like Joseph HE will bring you from affliction to glory.
